How does it work?:
The
PRO-1 stores the firmware file you wish to use to update
your Apex bill acceptors (for example, the new USA $5 bill
firmware). To
reprogram your Apex bill acceptor, simply plug the PRO-1's
6-pin cable into the FLASH port on the bill acceptor (acceptor
must be powered on). The LED on the PRO-1 will begin flashing
RED/GREEN for a few moments. When the LED turns solid GREEN,
this means the firmware program was successfully transferred
to the Apex acceptor. Simply disconnect and
move on to the next bill acceptor. The PRO-1 can be pre-loaded
with the firmware of your choice when you place your order.
What
if I have multiple firmware versions, or I want to change the
program stored in the PRO-1?
The PRO-1 also comes with a USB cable that attaches
to your Windows PC. Simply install the PRO-1
PC Software and
connect the PRO-1 to your PC's USB port. When you run the program,
you can select the PDB firmware file you wish to use. It will
only take a few moments to transfer the file to the PRO-1. When
the LED stops flashing RED/GREEN, the file is transferred, and
the PRO-1 is now ready to re-flash your Apex acceptors with
the latest firmware you just stored in the PRO-1.
